Role Overview


The Technology Intern will work closely with the Technology Department of Archiater Studio Sdn. Bhd., gaining direct exposure to digital transformation initiatives tailored for MSMEs, software development processes, product testing, infrastructure operations, and compliance practices.


This role offers the opportunity to learn hands-on technical skills while contributing meaningfully to the delivery of Archiater’s digital solutions, including the ARC Platform. The intern will support ongoing development, assist in documentation, and learn best practices in version control, system maintenance, and software deployment.


This internship is ideal for students or fresh graduates who want real-world exposure to SaaS product development, system integration, and agile teamwork in a fast-growing tech startup.



Key Responsibilities


Technical Support & Development Assistance

  1. Assist in writing, reviewing, and managing source code under supervision of the SDE
  2. Participate in developing front-end or back-end features for ARC modules using Python, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS
  3. Support version tracking, code testing, and debugging efforts in staging environments
  4. Learn and apply proper naming conventions, Git management, and documentation protocols


Infrastructure & DevOps Exposure

  1. Observe and assist in managing development, staging, and production server environments
  2. Learn how Cloud Service Providers are used in product deployment and scaling
  3. Assist in the setup of deployment pipelines, backups, and recovery checkpoints
  4. Monitor system logs, uptime metrics, and performance indicators with guidance


Security & Data Compliance

  1. Learn the fundamentals of software security, encryption, and secure access management
  2. Observe how data privacy protocols (e.g., PDPA) are implemented in software solutions
  3. Assist in tagging and documenting sensitive data points and access levels


Documentation & Quality Assurance

  1. Assist in preparing and maintaining internal technical documentation including:
  2. Product Requirement Documents (PRDs)
  3. Release Notes and Change Logs
  4. API Documentation and Integration Memos
  5. Conduct user acceptance testing (“UAT”) and compile bug reports and usability feedback


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  1. Join product planning and sprint meetings alongside Product Experts and the CTO
  2. Liaise with the Business Department for UI/UX consistency and training support
  3. Contribute to internal wikis and resource libraries for future onboarding use



Performance Expectations / Learning KPIs

  1. Deliver 90% or more of committed sprint items within the agreed sprint cycle.
  2. Maintain 100% documentation completeness for each external API integrated.
  3. Ensure system uptime of at least 99.5% on production servers monthly.
  4. Ensure 100% completion of security compliance checklists during each deployment cycle.
  5. Achieve and maintain 100% documentation completion rate for all owned features and systems.



Required Skills and Competencies


Technical Skills

  1. Familiar with basic programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS)
  2. Exposure to Git, GitHub, or other version control systems
  3. Understanding of databases (e.g., SQL), APIs, or web development is a plus
  4. Bonus: Familiarity with ERPNext, Frappe Framework, or cloud computing basics

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Currently pursuing a Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  2. Final-year students or recent graduates preferred
  3. Internship must be at least 3 months long (extensions may be considered)


Working Conditions

  1. Normal working hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  2. Flexibility required based on sprint cycles, release windows, or client issues
  3. May involve participation in after-hours deployments or scheduled downtime
  4. Occasional travel to client sites or event locations (where applicable)
  5. Must provide own device and stable internet for remote work
